Pricing

Pricing will of course vary from job to job but for a relatively simple website (like say, this one) the cost would be approximately $350. Domain name booking and server space hosting is payable up front. A ".com.au" domain name (requires a valid ABN) and two years server hosting will cost approximately $120. I use crazy domains but will use any web hosting provider you choose.

Other factors that affect the cost of the job include:

• How many graphics need created from scratch
• Whether you have your own copy ready to be marked up
• Whether you want legacy browsers such as IE6 supported (please read my note about IE6)

If you already know what you want to say (and have it written down), have your own graphics prepared and aren't too fussy about legacy browser support - you should get a nice clean layout for (what I think) is a reasonable price.

Terms and conditions

• Domain name registration and server space costs are payable up front
• The initial quote is an estimate only and is subject to change with additions or alterations to the scope of the job
• Upon approval of a working draft version posted on my own site the remaining payment is due
• Upon receipt of payment in full the site is uploaded to its registered domain name with 90 days of tech support (within reason)
